Corvuz

The second piece in my constellations series, picturing Corvuz.
According to Greek mythology, the raven is Apollo's sacred bird and used to have white feathers.
Apollo told the bird to watch over the pregnant Corona, one of the god's lovers. Corona however had an affair with a mortal man, Ischys, after losing interest in Apollo. The raven discovered her cheating and reported it to his master, who was enraged that the bird did nothing to stop it and, as punishment, cursed the raven and scorched it's feathers.
That, the legend goes, is why all ravens are black.

Allright, enough mythology lessons for today.
